Applications:
Dry ADIOX ® as the dedicated
dioxin removal technology
- Municipal, hazardous or biomass waste
incineration
- Incineration of chlorine containing residues
in the chemical industry
- Thermal processes in the metal industry (ore
sintering, copper production, scrap melting)
Description:
The Dry ADIOX ® absorber is a completely static dioxin separation system. The basic purpose of the unit is to
reduce the dioxin concentration to well below 0,1 ng TEQ/Nm 3 , the typical emission limit value. The required
dioxin removal efficiency will serve as basis for the detailed design
The dioxin absorber is designed for applications at municipal waste incineration plants where the inlet dioxin
concentration typically may be some 1 - 10 ng TEQ/Nm 3 but it may also be used in various other applications
such as at hazardous waste incineration plants, in the chemical industry, in the metal industry or at plants where
less contaminated waste, such as sorted demolition wood waste, is incinerated.
Adiox material in the form of tower packing structures are housed in a vessel of a suitable size and volume. A
standard vessel design is made but it is also possible to adopt the layout to specific installation requirements.
Suitable operational temperatures are 20-40 o C above the dew point.
Other advantages are high availability, low maintenance requirement, flexible layout and no residues as the
packing material is incinerated after use such that the dioxin is destroyed.
Dry Adiox absorbers are offered as “package units” or as part of a more extended delivery.
